A local company specialising in artisanal gifts with a precision engineering environment, is looking for a 2D Designer to produce artwork, illustrations, and technical drawings via both digital and manual techniques. These detailed 2D models and visual assets will be utilised towards 3D representations. Flexi-Work arrangements are available.
Job Description:
Artwork & Illustration Creation: Produce original 2D artwork, illustrations, and detailed technical drawings using both digital and manual techniques, ensuring they meet the brand’s standards for luxury and elegance.
2D Models for 3D Presentations: Develop high-quality 2D models and visual assets for 3D product presentations. Your work will help bring designs to life and showcase the intricate details of our high-end creations.
Collaboration with Product Designers & Engineers: Work closely with the product design and engineering teams to ensure that your artwork aligns with the technical specifications and manufacturing capabilities of each item. You will play a key role in bridging design concepts with production feasibility.
Brand Consistency: Ensure all artwork and design work adheres to the company's brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in style, tone, and quality across all visual assets.
Concept Development: Participate in the early stages of design development by creating mood boards, visual concepts, and prototypes to explore different creative directions for new products.
Design Refinement: Take part in design revisions, refining and adjusting artwork based on feedback from senior designers and stakeholders, ensuring the final product is of the highest standard.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal teams, including engineers and production staff, to ensure designs are executable and reflect the brand’s core values of craftsmanship and luxury.
Job Requirements:
Education: Diploma/Degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
Experience: Prior internship experience or at least 1-2 years of professional design experience, ideally in a product or luxury design environment.
Design Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Rhinoceros (or similar 3D modeling software). You should be comfortable using these tools to create both conceptual and technical design elements.
Creativity & Detail-Oriented: A strong sense of creativity combined with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to produce artwork that aligns with the luxury and precision expected by our brand.
Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Passion for Design: An enthusiasm for creating high-quality designs that reflect fine craftsmanship, innovation, and exclusivity.
