Roles & Responsibilities

The Product Tester Engineer will work in Interoperability Test Lab in Singapore Development Centre. This Test Lab performs integration tests of multi-vendor devices such as transmitters, control valves, multiplexers, remote IOs etc, against Yokogawa Control Systems (CENTUM VP, ProSafe-RS, Stardom, PRM and FieldMate)

The main responsibilities are:

• Liaise with device vendors for coordinating testing requests
• Plan and execute product testing
• Setup, maintain and upgrade lab assets, review test procedures and work process and implement improvement periodically
• Support in first line troubleshooting of customer reported issues related to tested products
• Support product development team for each development release or ad-hoc testing

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the process automation industry, either in instrumentation or control system
• Degree in Engineering/Computer Sciences
• Knowledge of digital communication protocols such as HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus/Profinet, ISA100, WirelessHART, OPC-UA etc
• Knowledge of standard technologies such as FDT/DTM, FDI, PA-DIM, OPA, NOA etc
• Experience with DCS system and Field Instrument products would be valuable
• Some experience with product software testing would be advantageous
