Key Responsibilities:
- Review of contractual documents and technical specifications
- To assist the Senior Project Engineer/Manager to conduct kick-off, pre-project/project meetings to ensure team members are clear on the objectives, deliverables, quality, lead-time, complexities and carry out the project execution and contingency plan, if any
- Plan and assist Senior Engineer/Manager to monitor the daily progress of activities to achieve on or before schedule, ie. By comparing the planned vs actual progress status, identify critical activities, improvements and/or contingency plans if any
- Attend site meetings, interacting with clients, understanding their needs and requirements, and representing them to the team
- Work together with clients and translate their requirements into an actionable plan with the team
- Work closely and communicate effectively with project manager and/or other project team members to create and deliver quality solutions for the clients
- Liaise with stake holders/vendors to ensure project meet the requirements, specifications and achieve within schedule as per the plan
- Coordinate and liaise with Classification bodies as project specifications for inspections and surveys when required
- Involve in technical meetings and assist in preparation of documents for submission
- Furnish drawings and documentations/reports to clients as requested
- Assist in resolving engineering/ technical issues, coordinating with the respective engineering support units
- Plan, execute, monitor on the work progress based on project timeline and budget
- Keep track of project status, prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports as required
- Assure all deadlines are met
- Responsible to run the operations of projects as assigned
- Preparation of documents as and when required, such as progress data, hand over status, close-out reports etc
- Ensure final acceptance of the project by client in accordance with contractual requirements
- Carry out other duties as and when assigned by immediate superior or higher management.
Requirements:
- Min Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering or its equivalent
- Min 2 -3 years of working experience, with relevant experience in Marine/Offshore
- Project management and organisational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise and perform work in a timely manner.
- Perform duties with accuracy and with strong degree of urgency
- Highly organised and a team player
- Capability to multi-task, respond to change, and adapt accordingly.
- Time management and effective communication
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, comfortable working independently and taking a high level of responsibility
- A self-starter with positive attitude
- Good Technical/Engineering competency would be an advantage.
