Job Description

Import/Export Documentation:
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation for import and export transactions, including commercial invoices, delivery order, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation to comply with international trade regulations and customs requirements.

Customs Compliance:
- Work with customs authorities to ensure that all import and export activities comply with relevant regulations and trade laws.
- Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and tariffs that may affect import and export operations.

Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and other logistics providers to arrange transportation and manage the movement of goods.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and address any issues or delays that may arise.

Supplier and Customer Communication:
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to manage import and export requirements and resolve any issues.
- Provide updates on shipment status, delivery times, and any changes in schedules or logistics.

Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure proper handling and storage of imported and exported goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers and customers to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock situations.

Cost Management:
- Monitor and control shipping costs, including freight charges, customs duties, and other associated expenses.
- Negotiate rates and terms with shipping carriers and logistics providers to optimize costs and improve efficiency.

Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve any issues related to shipments, customs clearance, or documentation discrepancies.
- Work with relevant parties to find solutions and ensure timely resolution of problems.
Qualifications:

Education:
- GCE "A" Levels or equivalent required
- A degree in international business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in import/export coordination or logistics, with a strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Experience with import/export documentation and customs compliance is highly desirable.

Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and customs authorities.
- Proficiency in using import/export software, logistics management systems, and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address and resolve issues efficiently.
