A multinational aerospace corporation is hiring a highly experienced Staff Engineer to lead engineering/manufacturing projects in Singapore

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as the on-site engineering liaison to enhance communication and collaboration between the engineering and supply chain teams.
• Lead non-conformance assessments and drive initiatives to improve producibility.
• Represent engineering on the shop floor, ensuring a high level of rigor in the manufacturing and design integration process, and identify areas for improvement to support on-time engine delivery.
• Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects while adhering to sound engineering principles, business standards, procedures, and product/program requirements. This includes mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products.
• Foster strong interactions and collaboration with engineers from various disciplines, manufacturing teams, and quality assurance, while also engaging with commodity and industry experts.
• Use engineering judgment and experience to challenge existing processes and methodologies, recommending improvements to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness.
• Apply in-depth engineering and manufacturing knowledge, along with analytical thinking, to execute moderate to high-complexity projects that align with technical requirements and business objectives.
• Lead technical projects of moderate to high complexity, collaborating with field and industry experts to ensure successful project execution.
• Communicate technical information clearly and develop skills to guide team members towards consensus on key topics, ensuring alignment with performance expectations and resolving sensitive issues as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Materials.
• 12–15 years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
• Extensive experience working in shop/supplier locations.
• Strong knowledge of design, manufacturing, and special processes for structures/rotative components.
• Proficiency in conventional and unconventional manufacturing processes.
• Experience in hardware ownership or design of structures/rotating components.
• Significant experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) activities (certification is a plus but not mandatory).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset to track and eliminate defects at suppliers.
• Ability to embrace diverse views and drive discussions to logical conclusions.
• Self-motivated with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs.
• Passion for continuous learning, mentoring, and influencing outcomes at supplier locations.
