Our Client is seeking a Machinist who will be able to operate milling machines and service and maintain machine shop equipment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operates manual machine tools like lathes, milling machines, and grinders to create parts. 
• Requires strong manual dexterity and a good understanding of machining principles.
• Capable of maintaining and servicing all machine shop equipment
• Inspects machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications

• Familiarity with at least 5 axis CNC milling machine without supervision or guidance
• Set up, operate and maintain relevant equipment for accurate inspections on CNC tasks
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Follow technical instructions with ease for precise manufacturing
• Able to resolve simple troubleshooting of machines
• Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and regulations as required by employee and the company.
• Advantageous to have experience with 6 axis Yaskawa robot and/or knowledge/certificate of Metal Inert Gas welding

Requirement:

• Nitec or Higher Nitec in Precision Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years working experience with Precision Engineering
  
• Acquired Workplace Literacy 5 and Numeracy Level 5 or demonstrable equivalent
