Responsibilities:

• Negotiate to achieve cost savings, working towards set KPI targets.
• Create and issue Purchase Orders to vendors.
• Monitor delivery schedules and address any issues that could affect product quality or project timelines.
• Keep procurement documentation up-to-date in the ERP system.
• Send requisitions and request quotes based on the specifications and requirements from the requester.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors based on product knowledge and justification.
• Track scheduled delivery dates and resolve any issues impacting product quality or project timelines.
• Provide administrative support for non-conformance issues, payment concerns, freight document verification, and shipment arrangements for rejected goods.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve recurring supply and quality problems.
• Regularly update procurement documentation, including monthly purchase history, savings, delivery schedules, RFQs, POs, etc.
• Source new or alternative vendors to ensure the supply of key commodities.
• Prequalify vendors (Approved Vendor List - AVL).
• Run errands for self-collection and delivery of standard parts and fabricated secondary processes.
• Support Senior Procurement and Procurement Executives with issuing POs, data entry, and data gathering.

Requirements:

• Nitec or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Precision or Manufacturing Engineering environment.
• Basic understanding of Supply Chain and Inventory Management.
• Ability to interpret basic mechanical drawings is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for project management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and sourcing skills.
• Experience in participating in project management.
